The Position
· Support the strategic development, expansion, and ongoing execution of Plan International Canada’s Youth Engagement projects
· Manage a portfolio of programs and projects to ensure smooth start-up, maintenance and/or extension of existing and new projects as appropriate
· Assist and potentially lead on the development and implementation of project/departmental operating plans
· Ensure grant funded programs are delivered and reported on in accordance with funding agreements
· Lead the development of key deliverables and desired outcomes for the work plan, Key Performance Indicator targets and budgets
· Uphold safeguarding standards in all phases of the project
· Support the development of policies, protocols and trainings to enhance youth engagement work and optimize team processes
· Manage relationships utilizing a collaborative partnership-based approach with key project stakeholders including relevant ministries, Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, donors and young people
· Provide management and oversight to a group of employees working to deliver results in line with the department’s goals
· Provide support, including administrative responsibilities, to projects as needed
What does success look like?
· Develop innovative and collaborative approaches for leveraging internal and external partnerships and resources to enhance and optimize projects
· Provide strategic direction to optimize, grow and expand project reach while utilizing a youth-centred approach
· Provide strong leadership and support to team members utilizing a collaborative strengths-based approach
· Ensure adequate resourcing for initiatives and troubleshooting of challenges to ensure project success, including Key Performance Indicator achievement and budgets adherence
· Support the visibility of domestic programming through impact story collection and collaboration with monitoring & evaluation
As our ideal candidate you will have:
· Demonstrated success managing multiple social impact projects simultaneously, complying with partnership agreements, and building rapport with stakeholders resulting in development of strong partnerships
· Aptitude for creating and leading project based advisory/steering commitments, including youth committees, with strategic direction
· Skilled in budget development and financial management
· Experience working in a collaborative and matrix environment, is resourceful, innovative and has a “can do” attitude
· A flexible and adaptable work style; open to collaboration with strong personalities and professionals; thrive in a fast-paced evolving work culture
