The Position

Working with a multitude of internal clients in conjunction with other members of the Donor Marketing team, the Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Performing day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, coding, database selection, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic email campaigns
  • Tracking and reporting on performance of emails (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.) to determine what worked and what didn’t by analyzing the data and suggesting improvements
  • Supporting the technical execution of A/B testing into everyday practice for continuous learning and improvements
  • Assisting with ongoing email optimization, including the integration of new dynamic merge fields and other email personalization tactics
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, deliverability and other aspects of email execution, as required
  • Managing the successful execution of assigned initiatives, through project planning, project management against defined key milestones, and communications between all stakeholders

What does success look like?

  • Deliver high quality, error-free emails campaigns
  • Help increase email engagement by supporting the execution of A/B tests and implementation of industry best practices
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends with respect to email design, email deliverability, user experience, and coding languages

As our ideal candidate you will:

  • Create and implement new responsive email templates using HTML, CSS and design software (e.g. Photoshop)
  • Manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end from planning, targeting, setup, QA testing, deployment, and reporting
  • Analyze the success of email campaigns using email deployment platform data and Google Analytics. Exposure to Google Data Studio would be considered an asset.
  • Ensure AODA/ W3C WCAG in all emails delivered
  • Be familiar with databases, CRM well as writing queries and defining new audience types
  • Have experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s Email Studio and Content Builder applications
